MT-Pyramid - from metaphor to praxis.
One of the best ways to grasp the concept is to make a model of MT-PYRAMID out of paper or card as suggested on the home page by following the instructions in the Youtube video. From this and from the example photographs on the home page a number of properties of MT-PYRAMID are immediately clear.
The first of these is a basic but vital fact about MT-PYRAMID - as a three-dimensional structure or shape it necessarily has an inside and an outside: an interior and an exterior. The external faces are directly visible for inspection and interpretation by anyone while the interior is invisible. In this MT-PYRAMID captures the nature of the self. Each person has an exterior visible to the world of others (other pyramids) whether that be 'you' or 'they'. Perception of this exterior can be 'second person' when the perceiver is someone with whom we have a personal relationship otherwise it is merely 'third person'. This is typical of the 'relationship' between strangers such as a health professional and their client. The self resides on the inside of the pyramid and is not open to direct inspection by others.

The second property is that when the pyramid is closed up to form the tetrahedral shape each face shares an edge - a contact - with each of the other faces. This is explored in subsequent pages. Again the four faces (refer to the flat pyramid on the home page ) will enclose the arena in which psychic life occurs so every event that is perceived or experienced will involve all four aspects. This mutuality covers one aspect of the concept of 'harmonic synchronization' mentioned below.
The third aspect or property is that pyramids must be capable of communication and perception, open to the experience of others and to the external world. This can be represented conceptually in a variety of ways but is obviously mediated by the nervous system and the associated sensory systems

MT-PYRAMID REPRESENTS A MULTIDIMENSIONAL MODEL OF APPRAISAL.
The model is “wholistic" and “strategic” in the sense that it can be used to embrace the totality of the individual and their life plans.
It can be used to assess individual or organisational needs.
it can be used for both ASSESSMENT and TREATMENT in mental health settings.
The shape is a tetrahedron - one of the Platonic Solids.
The shape represents a person or an organisation.

The aims of the MT-PYRAMID Project are:
To enable an individual to identify the self and position her or himself in terms of current feelings related to the faces and their links;
To feel and balance aspects of self in relation to the present through exploration of aspects of the pyramid and the internal interactions between them;
To illuminate the process of “harmonic synchronization” and the interactive contribution of each aspect of MT-PYRAMID in the process and outcome.
When in use the model is termed MT-PYRAMID QUESTER
